Details for Steve's Birthday Party
Hi, everyone!
We're just a bit more than two weeks away from the big SURPRISE birthday party for Steve, and I wanted to give you an update.
1. I have the dietary restrictions from each of you who provided them, and Loida (my party planner) has them too and will shop accordingly. We'll have deli subs, meat and cheese platters, and a table filled with chocolate cake and other chocolate goodies, plus wine, Coke, and champagne to toast Steve after we eat (sparkling apple cider for the kids).
2. We ask everyone to arrive promptly at 12:20 PM. I'll have Steve out of the house, and Loida and her helpers will be here to greet you. I'll bring Steve back around 12:30, and you'll all be in the living room to yell, "Surprise!" I'll text Loida as we're pulling into the driveway.
3. There will likely be someone in the guard house at the gate, but just in case, the code is 1185.
There's a pad on side of the guard house you can use, and the gate
should immediately open for you. If not, just text me and I'll get
someone to help let you in. (510-432-2344)
4. Please do not park in the driveway or on our street (Upton Pyne Drive), lest Steve spot your cars when we come back. The best place to park is on Summer Red Way, which runs almost directly into our driveway. I'll try to get into the house before Steve does, which usually isn't a problem since he usually drives.
5. Loida will have a fun backdrop in the kitchen area for her to take photos of us. I'm especially hoping that Steve can get some pics of him with the grand kids, who I'm sure will be the highlight of the party for him.
6. Just in case there's any confusion, this is a family-only event. Daren & Andrea, Cam & Elliot (and kids), Edge & Annie (and kids). We have been thrice vaccinated, and I'm sure everyone knows the signs to be on the lookout for by now so they can decide whether to bow out on the day of. Covid-19 tests are available at pharmacies and online, in case you have any concerns.
